Who we are

Hidden Agendas provides the game available through hiddenagendas.app. Questions about this policy or your information can be sent to info@hiddenagendas.app.

Information we use

We may process the following information:

• Your chosen display name, player colour, room membership and host status.
• Room settings and game activity, including answers, assigned agendas, suspicions, scores and progress through each round.
• A private room-session token stored on your device so that you can refresh or briefly disconnect without losing your place.
• Technical information needed for security, diagnostics and performance, such as timestamps, request information, browser or device type and approximate country.
• Feedback ratings, comments and an optional email address, stored privately to improve the game and follow up if you provide contact details. Messages and information you choose to send to support.

Hidden Agendas does not record the conversation in your room and does not require access to your camera, microphone or precise location.

How we use information

We use information to:

• Create rooms, connect players and operate each game.
• Keep votes and agendas private until the appropriate reveal.
• Restore your place after a refresh or brief disconnection.
• Protect the service from misuse and investigate faults.
• Understand aggregate performance and improve the game without profiling the private choices of individual players.
• Respond to support, privacy and safety requests.

Depending on where you live, these uses may be based on providing the service you requested, our legitimate interests in operating a secure service, consent, or another basis permitted by applicable law.

Local storage and analytics

If you choose to remember it, your browser stores your display name. It also stores a separate token for each room you join. The token reconnects you to a game, and the saved name prefills the entry form. You can remove this storage through your browser settings. Our cookie and browser storage policy explains its duration and how to manage it.

We integrate Vercel Web Analytics to understand traffic and Vercel Speed Insights to understand how reliably pages load. Only after you accept optional analytics, these services receive page addresses and technical information such as device and browser details. We will update our policies and provide choices where required before introducing additional tracking technologies.

Service providers and international processing

We use specialist providers, including Vercel for application hosting and performance measurement and Supabase for database and realtime services. They process information for us under their own security and privacy commitments. Information may be processed in a country other than your own, with safeguards used where required.

We do not sell player information. We may disclose limited information when required by law, to protect people or the service, or as part of a business transfer subject to appropriate safeguards.

Retention and security

Live room information is normally retained for up to 48 hours after the room is created. Limited security logs, backups and support correspondence may be retained longer where reasonably necessary. We delete or de-identify information when it is no longer needed for the purpose for which it was collected.

We use technical and organisational safeguards intended to protect game information, including access controls and restrictions that separate private player information. No online service can guarantee absolute security.

Children

Hidden Agendas is a general-audience service and is not directed to children under 13. If you are below the age at which you can consent to use an online service where you live, use Hidden Agendas only with the involvement of a parent or guardian. Please contact us if you believe a child has provided personal information inappropriately.

Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to processing of your personal information, or to withdraw consent. To make a request, email info@hiddenagendas.app. We may need information that reasonably verifies the request.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the game develops. We will publish the revised version here and change the date above. Material changes will be highlighted where reasonably possible.
