Cookie and browser storage policy
What is stored on your device when you play, what we measure, and the choices available to you.

Your analytics choice
Traffic and performance analytics are optional and off until you accept. Change your choice here at any time. Saving a choice reloads this page. We store your choice and its date in this browser for 180 days, unless you clear site data first. Rejecting analytics does not affect gameplay.
Optional analytics: off. The game works with either choice.
Cookies and similar technologies
Cookies are small pieces of information a website can store in your browser and receive with later requests. Local storage and session storage also keep information in your browser. This policy covers these technologies alongside our traffic and performance measurement.
The current game uses browser storage for the functions described below. We do not add advertising cookies, advertising pixels or session-replay tools to the game.
What the game stores
- Your room session: when you join or create a room, we save a private token in local storage so you can reconnect as the same player. A separate token is stored for each room.
- Your player name: if you choose “Remember my name”, we save the name you enter in local storage to prefill it when you return to the game-entry form.
- Administrator access: for administrators only, the admin console stores an entered access key in session storage to authorise its requests. Ordinary players do not use this storage.
The room tokens and saved name have no automatic browser-storage expiry. They remain until you clear site data or your browser removes them; entering another name replaces the saved name. A room expiring on our servers does not automatically delete its token from your device. Administrator session storage normally lasts until the tab or window is closed; browser session-restoration behaviour can vary.
Traffic and performance measurement
We integrate Vercel Web Analytics to understand visits and Vercel Speed Insights to measure page performance. These can send page addresses and technical information to Vercel after you accept analytics. They do not record your conversation.
Vercel describes Web Analytics as using a request-derived visitor hash rather than third-party cookies, with its visitor session discarded after 24 hours. That session period is separate from the retention of aggregate reports. Speed Insights measures loading, responsiveness and visual stability. Both integrations measure only approved public pages, excluding private room, invitation and administrator paths. We remove query parameters and fragments from the page URLs in their events.
Read Vercel's Web Analytics privacy information and Speed Insights privacy information for details of their measurement methods.
Managing browser storage
In your browser's privacy or site settings, find hiddenagendas.app and clear its cookies and site data. Clearing site data removes your saved name and room tokens, which can prevent you from recovering your existing place in a game. Blocking browser storage can also stop room creation, joining or reconnection from working.
Clearing storage does not delete information already held on our servers or disable analytics requests. For a request about your information, see our privacy policy or contact info@hiddenagendas.app.
Changes and questions
We will update this policy when our use of storage or measurement changes, and obtain consent before introducing technologies where consent is required. For help, visit Support.
